About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Housekeeping Manager to lead all housekeeping operations for a luxury hotel property in Houston. This department head role is responsible for maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards throughout the property while developing and inspiring a high-performing housekeeping team.

The ideal candidate brings strong operational leadership, luxury hotel experience, and a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences through meticulous attention to detail and team engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing housekeeping team including supervisors, room attendants, laundry attendants, and public area staff
  • Recruit, train, coach, and mentor team members while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development support
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and scheduling based on occupancy and operational needs

Operations & Quality Assurance

  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene throughout the hotel
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, suites, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure compliance with luxury hospitality standards
  • Implement and uphold Hilton and Curio Collection brand standards, policies, and procedures
  • Oversee inventory management, purchasing, and cost controls related to housekeeping supplies, linens, and equipment
  • Ensure proper care, maintenance, and usage of housekeeping equipment and hotel assets

Guest Experience

  • Champion a guest-first culture focused on comfort, elegance, and attention to detail
  • Address guest requests, concerns, and special accommodations promptly and professionally
  • Collaborate closely with Front Office and other operational departments to ensure seamless guest experiences

Financial & Administrative Management

  • Manage departmental budgets, labor costs, productivity metrics, and operational expenses
  • Analyze departmental performance data and implement strategies to improve efficiency and service delivery
  • Maintain accurate reporting, documentation, and compliance records

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and OSHA regulations
  • Promote safe work practices and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Support sustainability initiatives including waste reduction and environmentally responsible operational practices

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive housekeeping experience within upscale or luxury hotels
  • At least 3 years in a housekeeping leadership role overseeing teams of 20+ employees
  • Strong understanding of luxury hospitality service standards and hotel operations
  • Proven leadership, communication, coaching, and organizational skills
  • Financial acumen with experience managing labor costs, budgets, and departmental productivity
  • Proficiency with hotel systems such as PEP, Lobby, or similar platforms
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence
  • Flexible schedule availability including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience within Hilton or Curio Collection properties preferred
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
  • Certification in housekeeping management or hospitality operations preferred
